Remember when if we canceled a room after the cancellation date and got penalized, if that room was occupied on your date then you got a refund of your credits and/or money. Well I cancelled a Pismo Beach room at 9 days out, of course the room was taken because Pismo is always full. I called for my Refund and they said that rule was changed a month ago, we no longer get credited, we just lose it all. :( :( Just another example of them taking stuff away. Did everyone else know about this change, it probably was buried in all the other changes that I just missed it

I thought it will start on Oct 1st.

It was a part of the guideline change to grab more money from owners.

I'm sorry, Joe.

It was in an email that they sent about other topics, and they buried it in a 3rd or 4th paragraph.

I'm sorry you didn't know and lost credits.
If you had known, maybe you could have just rented the reservation to another member directly. Darn.

I would definitely cancel to get back HK and TOT

I have added the change to the Owner Alerts section.

Things have got to change!!! Wyndham is whittling away slowly but surely at our Worldmark Timeshare ownership that we purchased in good faith. Enough is enough!!!

It was on a special offer so I did get back the TOT. I booked it long ago hoping to fill in some extra days. I guess I am lucky it was just 1 day and 3 or 4 like usual Joe from Fresno

I am glad this discussion took place because I come on and check things out now and again. I didn't know about this rule change. I would have been unaware if it hadn't been for the discussion. Thanks.

Although I have only taken advantage of this once previously I will miss the possibility of getting credits back if the room rents out. I could have understood a small fee for the work involved but if you have a full week or more that is a lot of credits to lose. As always when they tighten the rules more people will lie and say they had a family emergency in hopes of getting the credits back. They are definitely taking away our flexibility one change at a time.
