We are already Platinum, and additionally have been buying one time points. We would like to have more annual points. Considering both developer points and resale points. If the question is money, of course resale makes the most sense, but I'm concerned about other caveats that may occur.

An additional thought I've had, although not based on any real information, is that if we add resale points, and are moving to 100,000 points, when and if WM makes a 100 club, they would perhaps grandfather those in. When Travelshare came about, WM grandfathered in our resale points.

If you own both developer & resale points in the same account, or if this is something you have experience with I would appreciate any information you have to share. Thanks so much!

There is no issue with having both resale and developer credits in the same account. You will see 2 columns, WM+TS and WM with the different type of credits in each.

We have both resell Points and Travelshare Points in the same account. We have not had any issues. Normally when we make a Reservation in Worldmark the System draws first from the WM Points assuming it is a Reservation for which the Points can be used and that the expiration dates are the same.

I doubt that Resell Points will ever count towards Travelshare status/level. It is possible but highly doubtful. But Wyndham can do whatever it wants with Travelshare.

Thank you Both for the info, and I am assuming you pay maintenance at the total points owned amount, correct?

Thank you all for responding, so very helpful. I haven't found one reason to buy more developer points.

It's not faster, as in getting connected faster, but you get to ask your question faster. Instead of answering "This is _____ from Vacation Planning?" They ask your name, account number and security question. After a short pause and them coming back and saying "the computer is slow today, but it was working fine a minute ago. Please bare with me.", they say "How may I help you with your premier account today, may I call you ____?"

With a Platinum account, caller ID brings up your account info as the agent answers the phone. They just answer "O' Platinum One, how can this unworthy servant assist you today?"

Atom is now in the script-writing business

The "best" (most annoying) part of the expanded script is
where they ask you what are you going to do in Anaheim / Dolphin's Cove (as if they care).
Or,
may I ask why you are cancelling Anaheim / Dolphin's Cove? (it's none of your business)
