I'd actually like to see this become a sticky if there are enough responses.

I think it would be nice for forum owners who are new to exchanging or potential owners to be able to see what type of exchanges have been gotten through WM. Please list the resorts you've managed to get into, the size of unit, the company you exchanged with, and what the credit cost was. Thanks!

I'll bite. In the almost three years that we have been members we have made the following Interval trades with WM points for our family and for friends/relatives (everyone now comes to us for honeymoon/vacation help :D .

Disney's Old Key West - Nov - 2BR - 3000 points
Disney's Old Key West - Nov - 1BR - 3000 points
Four Season's Aviara - Jan - 2BR - 3000 points
Four Season's Aviara - Jun - Studio - 4000 points
Disney's Old Key West - Jul - 1BR - $249 (with AC)
The Cliff's Club Kauai - Aug - 1BR - $249 (with AC)
Westgate Park City - Sept - 2BR - $299 (with AC)
Sands of Kahana Maui - May - 3BR - 4000 points
Riviera Beach and Spa - May -1BR - $249 (with AC)
Marriott's Newport Coast Villas - May - 2BR - 4000 points
Marriott's Kauai Beach Clug - Mar - 1BR - 4000 points

As you can see, Worldmark has allowed to take many awesome vacation that we wouldn't of been able to take/afford otherwise. It is amazing what one can do with 5k points when you know how to work the system O:) .

Here goes my experience with exchanges:

Sheraton Desert Oasis, Scottsdale - 1 bdrm - 9/02 -RCI - 3000 credits + fee
Mayan Palace, Puerto Vallarta - 1 bdrm - 10/02 -RCI Bonus week - $129 fee
Marriott Desert Villas - 2 bdrm - II Flexchange - 5/04 -3000 credits + fee
David Walley Resort, Genoa NV - 2 bdrm - 8/05 -II Flexchange - 4000 + fee
Falls at Ogunquit, Maine - 1 bdrm - 9/05 -II Exchange - 9000 credits + fee
Westin Mission Hills - 2 bdrm - 5/06 -II AC - $299

I liked some better than others, but was not disappointed in any of them. Love the flexibility WM gives to its owners. :D

After reading other posts, I edited mine to include the dates of the exchanges. Both RCI exchanges were reserved in the 45 day period; the II Flexchange reservations were made within 60 days; the reservation for the regular II exchange was made just outside the 60 day period; and the AC reservation was made within the 60 day period.

Please include the date you made these reservations. That is very important in light of the change from II to RCI for the "preferred" exchange partner.

Also the year of the exchange would be helpful. For example, FSA doesn't seem to be coming up as often as it used to. This info. would be useful for a comparison of "then & now".

I really appreciate this thread. I haven't yet used exchanges, and am VERY pleased to see what is possible. It begins to make the exchange membership fees worth something! One of these days I'll have to find time to do more research about this topic, but this thread certainly helps me see that the invested time might be worth it!

OK, here is my list... I couldn't get the formatting right, so I attached it as a picture file. It shows the resort, the date of the exchange, as well as the approximate date that I booked the exchange.

Note: All exchanges below were booked with small deposits, Accommodations Certificates, or during the Flexchange period. It represents 52,000 credits and the use of 15 Accommodations Certificates.

You can't tell that I love exchanging, can you? :D

I'm pretty happy. Now, if only I had taken them all myself! However, I have become the most favorite relative now.

I am already morning the upcoming loss of my free ACs for every exchange deal. :( I won't lose it until the fall of 2008, but it's going to be hard -- I've gotten pretty spoiled with those ACs.
