My family and I just came from two days at Seaside. We picked it up on bonus time.

Here are some new protocols:
you get a reserved time to check in and only one member of your party comes into the lobby.
If you have a maintenance issue, you must leave your room when they arrive.
You also get an hour of pool time which you must reserve ahead for. You only get one hour no matter how long your stay is. No hot tubs, pool only! You now can text the front desk for issues (we had a few) and also to check out.
Our unit (3307) was freshly painted. In fact, it was so freshly painted that several areas of masking tape were still on. The fan covers in the bathrooms had not been re-attached and a new washer/dryer unit was installed (but they had forgotten to plug them in).
Clatsop County does not fall under the governor's mandatory face mask guidelines. However, the mayor of Astoria is petitioning to have the county added to the mandate.
That being said, the resort was clean.

Never having been to Seaside, it's a louder location. Lots of street noise, but there's lots to do (when all businesses are open).
Many people clamming at low tide in the morning.
SISU Brewing in the old theater on Broadway is a great location; good beer and pub grub.

We have some time reserved at Eagle Crest in a couple of weeks. I plan on calling ahead to see what's going on. Last time I called Eagle Crest (in April), my call was routed to an answering service.

I just came from Mariner Village with similar protocols but a little less restrictive probably based on the size of the resort.
Mariner Village has 32 units vs Seaside at 320 so it is easier to manage contact. The rules at MV:
One person per group in the check in office, but no reservation required. They had plastic partitions up to separate the 2 check in lines. They are limiting it to 3 people in the office at one time but that wasn't an issue while I was there. They are only at 50% capacity right now and hope to be at 100% in July, but will have to see how things go. One worker was kept busy talking to people on the phone who wanted to know if their reservation would be good etc.
Pool access by reservation for 1.5 hours each time slot. No limitation on number of reservations, but I expect that depends on the demand; there wasn't much with it only being used a couple of times each day. One family group at a time. The pool isn't big enough for more than that. Hot tubs closed. Pool towels in the pool area.
BBQ also on a reservation system with one family group per grill area (the new one by the office and the one by the pool). They will also bring a George Forman electric grill to use on your balcony. I didn't see anybody using the grills.
Check out by text or phone call. They ask you to start the dishwasher and take out the garbage which they have always done. However, it now has the added incentive of helping to keep the cleaning crew safer.
All workers were wearing masks at all times.
the grass around the pool area is the best it's ever been with nobody but the deer around.

Summary: They are doing a great job under the circumstances. I enjoyed our first trip since March.
